Well folks, Here's the big news. The new addition to the family, and its expected to stick around for..... ever. Butt crack has been around for awhile but tree tattoo is making a debut. After years of planning and a couple months of sketches and appointment making, it was added permanently to my lower right back yesterday. The basic tree design comes from a plaque I bought my mom for her birthday with details and shadings made possible by my amazing artist Jessie Roberts. The layout and additions are my own ideas, again made amazing by the artist. The mountain and wave horizon are representations of both coasts my family resides in. Left side is the mountains and the west coast, Right side for the Atlantic, the yearly reunion at "the beach", and those on the east... Near the base of the tree is the Initials "JM" - a tribute to my parents whose first and middle initials happen to be the same,working out nicely for the design. In the horizon flies a black bird, symbolic of my big brother. Wise, and over looking the tree in the distance but never too far away. Hanging by the tree is the stone heart, representing myself. An idea i've been playing around with based on a tattoo on Against Me!'s lead singers wrist. It can be found doodled on most of my notes (or lack of notes) from class. And thats about it! It seems to be healing nicely so far and hasn't given me and trouble. Thanks to my family for the ispiration and I hope you enjoy. Major props to my tattoo artist for his patience and talent.
